DeVargas Funeral Home of TaosCelina Coca Montez, a resident of Taos, was called home to be with Our Lord, on September 11, 2025, at the age of 93.
She has joined her parents Melquiades and Beatrice Coca and her brothers Andrew, Alex, Wayne, Gilbert and Richard Coca.
She is survived by her loving sons, Gilbert Montez Sr. (Wendy) of Albuquerque, NM, Steven Montez Sr. (Verna) of Las Cruces, NM and Ronald Montez Sr. (Christina) of Taos, NM.
Her cherished grandchildren, Gilbert Gary Montez Jr. (Malinda) of Albuquerque, NM, Matthew Montez (Julie) of Melbourne, FL, Adam Montez of Albuquerque, NM , Christine Montez( Robert) of Albuquerque, NM, Stephanie Montez (Lorenzo ) of Taos, NM , Steven Montez Jr. ( Sara) of El Paso, Texas, Amanda Martinez( Andrew) of Rio Rancho, NM, Ronald Montez Jr. (Madeline) of Taos, NM, Jacob Montez (Faith) of Taos, NM, Michelle Montez (Cody) of Bridgeport, WV.
She was also blessed to be a great grandmother to 20 great grandchildren.
She is also survived by her beloved brother and sisters, Leo Coca (Esther), Amalia Star (David), Lorraine Coca-Ruiz (Danny), Joanne Maestas, Florina Grant (Leroy), Lillian Coca, Kathy Pacheco (Ralph).
She is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Rosary will be recited on Friday October 10, 2025 at 9am followed by the funeral mass at 10am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, with burial to follow at the Dolores Cemetery in Canon.
Celina will be remembered for her love and devotion to her faith and family.
