Mrs. Ceola Snodgrass Harkness Jones Lawrence, age 94, a resident of Harriman, Tennessee, passed away Friday, October 3, 2025, at the Parkwest Medical Center, Knoxville, Tennessee. She was born January 29, 1931, in Harriman, Tennessee. Mrs. Lawrence was a member of the St. Mary’s Missionary Baptist Church in Harriman and was a member of the NAACP. She was a retired Seamstress from Burlington Industries and also a retired Cook with Hardees, both in Harriman. She loved her family, especially her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, and her church family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Julius Snodgrass and Orlanda Snodgrass Hardy Lawrence; step-father, Dr. Hardy; husbands, Charlie James Harkness, Clem Jones, and William Lawrence; daughter, Wanda Hall; granddaughter, Carmen Storey; grandsons, Tony Martin and Travis Frazier; and brother, Andrew Snodgrass.

Shannon Jones (Vanessa)
Devoted Grandchildren: Robin Jones, Penny Harkness Leverette, Shannon Jones, Jr. and Miracle Bost
Grandchildren: Aaron Harkness (Gina), Lewis Harkness (Kim), Tunya Williams, Phillip Harkness, Kevin Harkness, Curtis Harkness (Megan), Torrey Frazier, Tara Frazier, Jason Hall, Olivia Ramsey and Jeffrey Hall
A Host of Great Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren
Nephew: Stratton Cooley
Devoted Cousin: Pam Roddy
And many other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Friday, October 10, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at the Evans Mortuary. Funeral services will follow on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 12:00 noon from the Chapel of Evans Mortuary with Pastor Willie Gallaher officiating. Committal services and interment will follow in the Roane Memorial Gardens in Rockwood, Tennessee. Evans Mortuary of Rockwood, Tennessee is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Ceola Snodgrass Harkness Jones Lawrence.
