Cesar Nannizzi Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home on Dec. 31, 2025.
Cesar Nannizzi Age 90
Cesare Nannizzi passed away December 20, 2025. Born in Mommio ViaReggio Tuscany Italy and longtime resident of Frankfort, IL
Beloved husband of Jane (nee Kaminski) Nannizzi.
Dear son of the late Lumena Benedetti and Amerigo Nannizzi.
Dearest brother of the late Sergia Francesconi, Grazia Nannizzi, late Alfredo Nannizzi and Renzo Nannizzi.
Loving uncle of Simona Nannizzi,Sergio Nannizzi, Luca Francesconi and Johnnie Francesconi.
Respected cousin of Jeanette Benedetti Boylan and her children Jason and Pilar Kornegay.
Cherished friend of Sonja Tudor and Sylvio Tudor.
Cesar immigrated to the United States, the only one of his siblings to do so. He was greeted in Illinois and assisted by his uncle Orlando Benedetti. With the support of family in Chicago, he quickly found work as a chef where he honed his skills in what would become his livelihood. Cesar eventually owned his own restaurant, Cesar's Restaurant of Country Club Hills, a true "Cuisine" Italian restaurant. Over the years, he perfected his menu of his favorite Italian dishes with new adaptations. His specialties became his clientele's favorites; add to the fine cuisine, the restaurant's homey restaurant feel created a warmth, a place reminiscent of Cesar's Italian homeland.
