Chad A. Colburn, 54

Chad A. Colburn, 54 of Ashland passed from this life on Friday evening, September 26, 2025 unexpectedly in his home.

He was born on September 23, 1971 in Adrian, Michigan the son of Melvin and Judy (nee Tucker) Colburn.

Chad married the former Leighann Milum on July 11, 1998.

He has been employed by his father for many years.

Throughout his life, he loved music, watching football, supporting his favorite teams the Detroit Lions and the Michigan Wolverines' and cleaning and taking care of his car.

He is survived by wife of 27 years. Leighann Colburn of Ashland; four daughters, Shena (Kyle) Peck of Wooster, Santana (Will) Fleck of Shelby, Shelbie (Joe Cozzens) Colburn of Ontario and Sasha of Ontario; one grandchild, Wrenley Cozzens of Ontario; his father, Melvin Colburn of Ashland; two sisters, Lona (Kelly) Lutz of Chatfield, Ohio and Sharon Colburn of Las Cruces, New Mexico; three brothers, David (Julie) Colburn of Mansfield, Gary Colburn of Ashland, and Melvin Colburn Jr. of New London; and many nieces and nephews.

Chad is preceded in death by his mother, Judy Colburn; a sister, Dayna Colburn; and his brother, Jimmy Colburn.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home with Trudy Bates presiding. Family and friends may visit two hours prior to the service from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

For those who are not able to attend, online condolences may be shared on the funeral home's website.

Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home & Crematory is handling the arrangements.
