Chad D. Courtney, age 53, of Plover, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, July 7, 2024.
Chad was born on November 7, 1970 in Stevens Point a son of Gerald "Jerry" and Janet (Novak) Courtney.
He attended local schools and graduated from Mid-State Technical College with an Electrical Power Engineer Degree.
Chad was employed with Alliant Energy as an Electrical Engineer until his health necessitated his retirement.
In his free time, Chad enjoyed Snowmobiling, watching Snowmobile Racing and crafting his remote-controlled car and airplane skills.
He is survived by his mother, Janet Courtney; son, Matthew (Miranda Rusin-fiancé) Courtney of Wisconsin Rapids; brothers, Chris (Joan) Courtney of Minocqua and Todd Courtney of Stevens Point; nieces and nephews, Megan, Wade, Paige and Morgan; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
Chad was preceded in death by his father, Jerry in 2020; grandparents and several aunts and uncles.
Funeral services for Chad will be held at the Pisarski Community Funeral Home of Plover, 2911 Plover Rd, Plover, WI 54467 on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at 11:00AM with Deacon Jim Trzinski presiding.
Family and friends are invited to a Visitation at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 9:00AM until the time of the service.
Private family burial will be at Guardian Angel Cemetery at a later date.
