Roger A. Oligney

Roger A. Oligney, age 66, of Nekoosa, WI passed on December 3, 2025. He was born on October 26, 1959 to Richard Oligney and the late Janet (Tracy) Oligney. Roger grew up in Plover, WI and was a Stevens Point Area High School graduate. Roger worked for the Stevens Point School District for most of his working life and retired from there.

Roger’s favorite things in life were watching westerns, old country music, and going out to eat. He really enjoyed spring thru fall fishing up north and ice fishing in his earlier days. He liked cutting wood and tinkering around doing odd jobs. He also enjoyed deer hunting.

Roger is preceded in death by his brother, Doug; sister, Robin; brother, Mike; and most recently his mother, Janet.

Roger is survived by his brother, Gary Oligney of Stevens Point; sister, Pam Wanta, Stevens Point; sister, Wanda (Doug) Joosten of Wisconsin Rapids; brother, Vic Oligney of Plover; sister, Dawn (Ryan) Dresden of Plover; and many nieces and nephews.

The family of Roger would like to thank the Cardinal Grove Assisted Living and Aspirus Hospice staff for their compassionate care and support.
