Terrence "Terry" L. Oligney, 88, of Iola, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024. He was born on September 16, 1935 in Stevens Point to the late Ellsworth "Bing" and Florence (Wrolstad) Oligney. Terry married Sandie Bonikowske on August 19,2005 in Waupaca.
Terry worked for the Soo Line Railroad for 35 years. He is a longtime and faithful member of Northland Lutheran Church. He enjoyed watching kids and grandchildren at sporting events. He loved gardening, ski jumping, farming, trout fishing, shooting pool, avid collector of railroad memorabilia and antiques, going to auctions and spending time at the saw mill with his lifelong best friend JR. Julian Merde.
He is survived by his Wife: Sandie, Children: Keith (Patricia) Oligney, Darrell (Julie) Oligney, Darcy (Mary) Oligney, Daniele (Tom Kellnhauser) Oligney. Jennifer Philippon (Chris), John Bonikowske (Michelle) Grandchildren: Neil Oligney, Natalie Stevens, Nick Klepps, Rachel Klepps, Ellen Oligney, Jane Sorenson, David Oligney, Mikayla Oligney, Colton Kellnhauser, Auston Kellnhauser. Brianna Philippon, Hannah Bonikowske, Emily Stubinski (Tanner) Great Grandchildren: Carson Klepps, and Madden Stevens. Sisters: Judy (Allan) Morey and Joan Groenier.
He was preceded in death by grandson Zachary Fahser, granddaughter Kaitlyn Oligney and Brother-in-law: David Groenier.
The Funeral Service for Terry will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, 3:00 PM at Northland Lutheran Church with Rev. Bill Stukenberg officiating. Visitation will be held at the Voie Funeral Home in Iola on Monday April 15th from 4-7 PM and at the church on Tuesday from 1:3O - 2:45 PM. Interment will be at Northland Lutheran Cemetery.
