Richard Pitcher, 81, of Whiting, passed away on Tuesday January 6, 2026, Richard was born to the late George and Bertha Wayer on October 12, 1944. Richard entered the U.S. Army on May 13, 1965 and was honorably discharged on April 25, 1968. Richard was married in 1969 to Marcia Bednarczyk. Richard enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers, maple syrup, and a cold Pabst Blue Ribbon at Kim's Barrel Inn.
Richard is survived by his nieces and nephews and is preceded in death by his parents; wife, siblings, Beverly, Dorothy, Patricia, John, Jerry, Kenny, and Donald.
The family would like to thank the staff at Wellington for their outstanding care and Ann Klosinski for volunteering to serve as Richard's guardian for past nine years.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Richard will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, January 12, 2026 at St. Bronislava Parish- 3200 Plover Road, Plover. Fr. Arturo Vigueras to officiate. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30AM until the time of services. Burial with full military honors to follow mass in the parish cemetery.
