Lee Mugridge Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Plover Funeral Home on Feb. 6, 2026.
Lee Mugridge, of New Richmond, WI, passed away February 4, 2026, at the age of 55.

Lee was born September 2, 1970, in Waupun, WI; son of Donald Mugridge and Kathleen "Kathy" Uteg. He grew up in the area where he attended local schools and graduated from Tri-County High School in 1988.

Following high school, Lee went on to enter the workforce. While Lee worked a variety of jobs, they always surrounded heavy equipment - from driving semi trucks, working train derailments and moving dirt. Lee truly loved what he did for work and his passion spilled over into his hobbies. He enjoyed building and fixing things; if it had an engine, he knew how to fix it! Lee was an intelligent man who loved to learn how everything worked. His family was an important part of Lee's life. He also loved the outdoors which included taking the pontoon out on the lake, riding UTVs with his wife, and their friends, camping, and anything that involved him using his John Deere tractor.

While Lee's personality wasn't always the warmest right off the bat, his heart was very large; he would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He was a loving husband and cared deeply for their dogs, Buddy, Tia, Mia, and Lucy. However, the cats were a different story.

Lee is survived by his wife, Denise; his parents, Donald and Kathy (Dave); and his step-son, Ryan (Sonya). He is further survived by his siblings, Racheal, Carol (Brian), Hank (Deb); his 5 nieces and nephews, Travis, Michaela, Briena, Brandon, Katlin, 1 great nephew Dylan; and 1 grandchild Jackson.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Plover VFW, 2970 Hickory Drive, Plover WI, on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from Noon to 4:00 pm. Burial will take place at Coloma-Leola Cemetery at a later date.

Shuda Funeral Chapel is honored to be assisting the family.
