Chad Healy Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wilderness Funeral Home & Cremation Services - Chinook on Jan. 7, 2026.
Chad Lewis Healy, 44, passed away on January 5, 2026. He was born to Audrey Healy and Donald Doney on November 20, 1981, in Great Falls, Montana. Jesse Snell Sr. and Marjorie Snell lovingly raised Chad from the time he was four months old, welcoming him as their own. He was formally adopted by them on June 26, 1996.

Growing up, Chad stayed busy hanging out with his friends, playing basketball, and bareback riding. He traveled to numerous rodeos with Jay Has The Eagle and his grandma, Helen Bierle, creating countless memories and good times that will always be remembered. Chad really knew his music, especially country music-one of his favorite things was putting on a good song and just enjoying the moment. He liked kicking back watching basketball and football, rodeos, and spending quality time with his girls.

Family was everything to Chad. His girls were his whole heart-he was their protector and would do anything for them. He loved his nieces and nephews deeply and was known as the "favorite uncle" everyone loved to be around. Chad was always telling stories, joking around, and making people laugh. He put others before himself, wore his heart on his sleeve, and was always willing to help whenever he could. He'd call or message just to check in, to say "I love you" or "I'm proud of you." That was Chad-real, caring, and always there.

Chad is survived by his wife, Lavonne Sullivan-Healy; his daughters, Shaylynn, Taylor, and Kylie Healy, who were his pride and joy; and his granddaughters, Dazlynn Molina and Lashae Dillon, whom he adored. He is also survived by his in-laws, James and Nadine Sullivan; his grandfather, Robert "Ketsy" Healy; his great aunts, Valmarie Carrywater and Caroline Elliott; his sisters, Sherry Snell (Craig), Marsha Healy (Percy), Kayla LaMere (Chase), Diana Rose Snell, and Larae Snell; his brothers, Jesse Snell Jr., William Snell Sr., William Snell Jr., and Trey Doney; his uncles, Manny Healy (Rochelle) and Robert "Bobby" Doney (Debbie); and his aunts, Shirley Healy (Clint), Shelly Healy, Anna Doney (Bill), and Leona Healy. Chad was deeply loved by his many nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in his heart.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Marjorie Snell, and Audrie Healy and Donald Doney; his maternal parents, Diane and Gerald "Bessie" Healy; his nephews, Jeffry "Weffy" Stiffarm, Gerald "Cooper" Healy, and Robert Jesse Snell; his niece, Billy Snell; his uncles, David Messerly, Daniel "Dean" Messerly, Robert Messerly, Mike Messerly, Dennis Doney, and Dale Doney; his aunts, Carol Jean Doney, Barbara Ball, and Mary Joe Doney; and his paternal grandparents, Virgil and Nelly Doney.

Chad leaves this world surrounded by love, laughter, and the memories he shared with us all. Until we meet again, we hold him close in our hearts.
