Chad Hebert Obituary

Chad Douglas Hebert, 53, passed away on February 2, 2026. Born January 2, 1973, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Chad lived a life defined by faith, generosity, and deep devotion to the people he loved.

A proud and devout Christian, Chad faced life — and even death — with a steady confidence in God’s promises. He was never afraid of leaving this world, knowing with certainty that Heaven would be far better than anything here. He would not want those who loved him to be weighed down by sadness, but instead to find comfort in the peace he knew was waiting for him. As Ecclesiastes 3:1-2 reminds us, “To everything there is a season… a time to be born and a time to die.”

Chad was the kind of man who never hesitated to help a friend, neighbor, or even a stranger in need. His compassion was loud and infectious, and those who knew him felt the strength of his loyalty and kindness. He found joy in the outdoors, especially in turkey hunting, a hobby that brought him peace and grew his connection to the Lord and the world around him. Above all, Chad had an unwavering love for his family, his friends, and his dogs, who were constant companions in his life.

Chad is survived by his two daughters, Kaileigh Hebert and McKenzie Hebert, and his beloved grandson, Frank (Frankie) Cummings V. He is also survived by his brother Casey Hebert and wife Gerri Hebert, along with their children Brock Hebert, Lawson Hebert, and Kendelle Hebert. He leaves behind his mother Shari (Beth) Twilley and stepfather Clinton Twilley, as well as his father Robert (Bobby) Hebert. Preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Fay Tynes Hebert and Russel Hebert, as well as his maternal grandparents, Norma Theriot Ory and Eugene Heil Ory.

A visitation will be held on Monday, February 9, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, followed by a service at 6:00 PM at Fellowship Church in Prairieville, Louisiana
