He passed peacefully in his sleep after 5 years of fighting stage IV kidney cancer. He was 56 years old.Chad was a loving Husband, Father, Brother, Father-in-law, and Uncle. Outside of his family, he never met a stranger. He was devoted to his parish, Divine Mercy Catholic Church, and the Merritt Island community. Chad was always sharing his time, talent, and treasure with others however he could. One of his favourites being his years spent with the Merritt Island Youth Football League. Chad loved spending time with his family and friends by attending music festivals, football and soccer games, indy car races, and generally sharing great food and music with them. He had a profound love of learning and was always looking to get into something new. He was the first winner of the Heisleague Fantasy Football Bradford/Keith Cup and an avid video gamer.Chad is survived by his wife of 36 years, Gayle "Hawkins" Little of Merritt Island, FL; Mother Martha "Rester" Little, of Childersburg, AL; Daughter, Katy Little (Miguel) of Orlando, FL; Son, Joe Little (Christina) of Tampa, FL; Brother, Lee Little (Donna, Michael (Ashley) Lindsey, Alex) of Birmingham, AL. He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Little of Childersburg, AL.Chad is survived and preceded by many cherished family members who did and did not share in his bloodline. He loved and valued all of those relationships.Chad was a graduate of Georgia State University and enjoyed a long career as an actuary specializing in public pension plans. He co-founded his own actuarial firm, Freiman Little Actuaries, with his partner Paula Freiman. Together, they served several public accounts throughout the southeast, with a primary focus in Florida.A funeral mass will be held at 1:00pm at Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Merritt Island, FL with Father Michael Farrell officiating. A reception will follow at 2:00 pm in the Dome.. After the reception, all are invited to join his family in sharing stories and memories at Time Out Plus Sports Bar in Cocoa Village, FL with a toast at 6 pm. On Monday, June 9th Chad will be laid to rest at Our Saviours Catholic Church in Cocoa Beach at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, the family believes Chad would prefer donations to Merritt Island Youth Football League.
