Chad E. Williams, 53, of North Henderson, IL, passed away at 9:55 a.m., Saturday, March 16, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born on January 16, 1971 in Galesburg, IL, the son of Rod and Rita (Hanna) Williams. Chad was raised and educated in Alexis and graduated from Alexis High School in 1989.
Chad worked on the family farm for many years. He enjoyed working with his horses on the farm. He liked playing pool and golf. Growing up, he was an avid water skier, snow skier, and liked being on the boat. Chad was a diehard Chicago Cubs, Bears, and Illini Fan. Chad was a kind, thoughtful, and generous person. He never knew a stranger and always had a positive outlook.
Surviving Chad are his parents, Rod & Rita Williams of North Henderson, IL; one brother, Cory (Joy) Williams of Lake Zurich, IL; one niece, Sydney Williams of Wood River, NE; his aunts, Theresa (Gary) Pheiffer of Kewanee, IL, Kim (Bob) Doyle of Mocksville, NC; his uncle, Mike Hanna of Galesburg, IL; also surviving are many cousins; bonus niece, Shealynn (John) Christy; bonus nephew, Sean Sawicki; and very special friend, Amanda Perez.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Christine Williams; his paternal grandparents, Alvin & Janet (Johnson) Williams, and Maternal grandparents, John & Elsie (Harrison) Hanna.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 22, 2024 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL. Interment will be in Alexis Cemetery, Alexis, IL. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 21, 2024 at the Funeral Home. Memorials can be made to the Alexis-North Henderson Ambulance Service or the Mercer County Agricultural Society.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
