Chadwick Bryan Sulcer, affectionately known as Chad or Bubba, age 45, of Smyrna TN, peacefully left this earth on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, surrounded by family. Chad was born in
Nashville, TN and was the son of Teresa Sivils (Dave) and Jeff Sulcer. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Charles Swift and his wife, Wiladean Swift and by his paternal grandparents, Benny Sulcer and his wife, Jean Sulcer.
Chad attended Donelson Christian Academy where he graduated in 1997. He played soccer all four years for the Wildcats. He went on to attend the great University of Tennessee in Knoxville, graduating with a B.S. in Logistics and Transportation in December 2001. Chad had many accomplishments throughout his life spanning from being chosen by his colleagues for a Global Team Leader of the Year award to his greatest accomplishment, his two beautiful and intelligent children, Jazmine (14) and Atticus (11). He never missed an opportunity to brag about them. He was always so proud of his kids.
Chad's humor and compassion showed through his charming blue eyes and his bright, inviting smile. He was always making jokes, striving to bring a smile to someone's face. He was the life of every party. His effervescent and sarcastic personality always made those around him laugh. He got joy from making other people's lives a little brighter. He was full of "Chad-isms" that were sure to make your belly laugh till it hurt. He took particular pleasure in telling each of his sister's they were his favorite when the other wasn't around and making sure they knew he loved his brother-in-law, Brian, more than them. Chad was always there to lend a hand to anyone, no matter the situation. His kindness and soft heart were two of his best qualities.
If you knew Chad, you knew his blood ran orange for the University of Tennessee Volunteers. An enthusiastic lover of all sports, he was particularly partial to our boys in orange and white. Never missing a game, he always rooted for the Volunteers always reminding Bama fans who the superior college was. GO VOLS! Along with his love for the Vols, Chad also had a passion for cars, specifically the fast and loud kind. He enjoyed tinkering with and installing car stereos, even entering competitions when he was younger. His dad's Dodge Viper and Mom's Jeep Trackhawk were among his two favorites. He always made sure to tell everyone how cool his parents were, showing the pride he had in being their son. Chad was a lover of all animals, but little baby puppy dogs were his absolute favorite. Special shout out to his beloved little baby puppy dogs, Clark W. Griswold Kent, Gooby girl and Crim.
