Thomas Leon Shannon was born on November 10, 1972 in Nashville, Tennessee to the union of Frances and Leon Shannon. He entered into rest on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at St. Thomas West in Nashville, Tennessee.
Thomas was educated in Nashville Davidson County Schools, graduating from Donelson Christian Academy, class of 1991. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church.
Thomas was united in Holy Matrimony to Karen M. Hambrick on October 12, 2002, they have enjoyed 19 years of marriage.
Thomas was employed with IST Management from June 2018, until his untimely passing. He enjoyed poker, D&D gaming, and spontaneous traveling.
Thomas was preceded in death by his father, Leon Shannon.
He leaves to cherish his memories loving and devoted wife, Karen Shannon, devoted mother, Frances Shannon, brothers-in-law, David Haley, Derrick (Keva) Leonard, Christopher and Jonathan Hambrick, sisters-in-law, Sonia and Kayla Hambrick, Sandra Gilliam, and Veronica Leonard, uncles, Hollis (Ramona) Davis, Sr., Willie Lee Davis, Alfred Haley, aunts, Virginia (Gilbert) Beasley, Zelma Shockley, Frances Tubbs, Geraldine Watkins, God-children, Tanner, McKinzie, and Roderick Johnson, Walter Kent, Jr., Tiffany Kent, Qiana Corbin-Denley, Clacia Burton, Tasha Gooch, Anna Washington, Mariah Clemons, God-sisters, Gail Clemons, Nicole Southern, special friends Jason Price, Tony Roh, and a host of friends that grew up with him in the Hopewell Community.
Viewing Friday, October 7, 2022, 1-6 at funeral home. Visitation Saturday, October 8, 2022, 10-11am with funeral to follow at Mt. Gilead M.B. Church. Burial in Hopewell Church Cemetery.
