Chan Gray Sellars, 85, of Lee County, GA, passed away Monday, January 5, 2026 at his residence. Graveside funeral services with Military Honors will be held Friday January 9, 2026 at 11:00 am at Floral Memory Gardens. Dr. Morris Harpe and Rev. Roger Morey will officiate.
Mr. Sellars was born in Camilla, GA to Arthur Sellars and Leticia Gray Sellars on February 14, 1940. His family moved to Albany, GA in 1950. He graduated from Albany High School in 1959, attended Albany Junior College and married Jacqueline “Jackie” Duke in 1963. Mr. Sellars served his Country in The United States Navy for six years in and during Vietnam.
Most of his adult life, Mr. Sellars lived in Lee County, GA and was employed in sales with Ditch Witch, Wrenn Handling and delivered parts for Trans Power. He was a member of Amazing Grace Baptist Church and The American Legion Post # 30. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie Sellars. Mr. Sellars enjoyed camping and fishing with Jackie Sellars and Deer hunting with his sons.
Survivors include his children, Marty (Carla) Sellars of Watkinsville, GA, Michael (Rhonda) Sellars of Hahira, GA and Mitchell (Leslie) Sellars of Lee County, GA, his sister, Travis (George) McDonald of Leesburg, GA, his grandchildren, Jessica Ortiz of Valdosta, GA, Rae (Zack) Robinette of Hahira, GA, Colton (Dominique) Sellars of Tarpon Springs, FL and Erica (Seth) Sellars of Belton, TX and step-grandchildren, Blake (Allison) Potts of Villa Rica, GA and Guage Potts of San Diego, CA and his great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Potts and Pearl Marie Sellars.
