Chanda Bedwell Stone

CHANDA RENEE BEDWELL STONE, age 52, of Huntland, Tenn., departed this life suddenly on Sunday, August 27, 2023, at STRHS Winchester, following a brief illness. Mrs. Stone was born in Fayetteville, Tenn., to the late John Wilson Bedwell, Jr. and Brenda Walker Bedwell on August 28, 1970. She was the 1988 valedictorian of her High School graduating class at Huntland High School. She went on to receive her master's degree several years later from MTSU. Mrs. Stone was an Elementary School Teacher at Huntland for 31 years. She has just began teaching at Sparkman Middle School in Toney, Alabama this school year. She was very active with the 4-H program over the years in Franklin County and would do anything to help her students. Her favorite past-time was shopping, and she loved to shop for her entire family. She loved cooking and gardening. She will be remembered as a loving sister, aunt and niece that had a loving and giving heart and a beautiful smile. Mrs. Stone was a 20-year member of the Covenant Christian Church in Belvidere.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Stone was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents; Doug and Nadine Walker and paternal grandparents; John Wilson Bedwell, Sr. and Wilma Spurlock Bedwell.
She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Tony Stone, sisters; Christy "Cricket" "(Tim) Vernon, Candice "Candy" (Jerome) Haddon, all of Huntland. Stepdaughter, Amanda (Travis)Hart of Cookeville, Tenn., Stepson, Zachary Stone of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Step-grandson, Cooper Joseph Goodnight, Son-in-love, Jaray Taylor of the U.S. Marine Corp. formerly from Belvidere, Tenn., Nephews; Chase Vernon of Shelbyville, TN, Blain (Megan) Maxwell of Flintville, Tenn., Niece, Haley (Jordan) Gyurnek of Huntland, Tenn., Several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday evening, August 29, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday evening, August 30, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Pastor, Pat Kelley, officiating.
Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens in Winchester.
