Chandrea Mixon Brown

Chandrea Mixon Brown, age 53, passed away on August 29, 2025, at 9:50 p.m. She was born and raised in Cordele to the late Winston and June Mixon. Chandrea worked as a dog groomer for many years before retiring due to health issues. She loved her family and friends and treated everyone she met with unending kindness. She was a sweet and loving soul and knew just what to say to make the people around her laugh. In her free time, Chandrea enjoyed golfing, gardening, arts and crafts, and watching her favorite shows on TV. She is survived by her husband, Jody Brown of Cordele, GA; son, Rush Brown (Marie Heimberger, Everett) of Cordele; daughters Savannah Brown of Panama City, FL, Madison Brown (Emma Malcom) of Augusta, GA, and Allie Middlebrooks (Garrett) of Guyton, GA. She is also survived by her brothers Jody (Tammy) Mixon of Cordele, and Winston "Gene" Eugene Mixon, Jr. (Angie) of Tallahassee, FL,. She was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church and was a faithful servant of the Lord. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at Rainey Family Funeral Services Chapel from 1 to 2pm. The funeral will be held following the visitation and the burial will follow at the Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery.
