Charee Lydia Howe was born on November 18, 2002, in Bismarck, North Dakota, to Jennifer Eagle and Charles "DK" Howe, Sr. She grew up in the Big Bend area and was lovingly raised by her paternal grandparents, John and Cynthia Howe.

As a young girl, Charee loved playing Barbies with her cousins and enjoyed jingle dress dancing at powwows. She attended Crow Creek Tribal School, where she graduated.

Charee had a deep love for her cats and enjoyed spending time laughing and visiting with friends and family. She had a smile that could light up any room. She also loved cooking and learning new recipes, recently mastering the art of making oven bread and dinner rolls. She treasured time spent with her boyfriend, Robert J. Johnson, and her two brothers, Chuck and Eli. At the time of her passing, she was coping with the recent loss of her father, whom she deeply loved.

Grateful for having shared her life are her brothers, Charles "Chuck" Howe, Jr., and Eli Howe; niece, Red Sky Howe; nephew, River Moon Howe; maternal grandparents, Frank and Marilyn Eagle; aunts, Janice Howe Adrian, Clarice Jewett, Marice Ashley, and Candice Howe; uncles, Raynard (Loralee) Howe and Gordon Eagle; and her boyfriend, Robert J. Johnson.

Welcoming her home are her father, Charles "DK" Howe, Sr.; paternal grandparents, John and Cynthia Howe; aunts, Leatrice Seaboy and Ethel Left Hand Bull; uncle, John Howe, Jr.; and cousins, Keith Yamni Horse Looking, Raynard Howe, Jr., Charlie Manuel Jewett, and Cherish Maggie Bull Bear.

Casket bearers will be RJ Johnson, Chuck Howe, Michael Howe, Eli Howe, Londelle Ashley, Galen Ross, CJ Chavez, and Ignatius "Mikey" Young Bear.

Honorary pallbearers are Lauryn Howe, Sharice Jewett, Madeline Horse Looking, and Marice Seaboy.
