Charlene Beeler, 59, of Jackson, Georgia passed away Tuesday, January 6th, 2026 at Wellstar Spalding Regional Hospital after a long battle with varying ailments.
Charlene was born February 25th, 1966 in Lincoln County, Tennessee to Shirley Ann Bates Holloway and Hugh Charles Beeler. She grew up in Tennessee before moving to Georgia when her parents pursued career opportunities. She was always a wildflower and had a love for life. She rarely met a stranger and was blessed to have a plethora of friends she made throughout her life. She was very artistic and loved to write poetry, make jewelry and transform what some would call junk into colorful works of art. She enjoyed flower/plant/vegetable gardening when her health allowed. She adored the beauty of watching them grow and canning her bounty to share with others.
Music was always a great pastime for Charlene. She loved music of all genres from classic rock and roll to country. She cherished bands from the 1970s through the 1990s with Fleetwood Mac being her all time favorite. She worked a variety of jobs including
her own residential/commercial cleaning business as well as Organics by Charlene, where she made goat milk soaps, lotions, and other natural products. She loved spending time with her girlfriends, especially those from Riverdale High School that
remained close to her over the years.
Charlene was blessed with a beloved son, Charles Daniel "Danny" Flynn. While never marrying, she did her best to raise her sons with the help of numerous family and friends throughout the years. Her greatest joy was spending time with and watching her grandchildren grow, develop, and become beautiful little people. Her mother was by far her best friend. The two were inseparable despite butting heads from time to time. She loved her daddy, who never failed to be there in her times of need throughout her life. She valued her family from Georgia, Alabama, and Tennesee. She enjoyed the trips and phone calls to check in on everyone and reminisce on memories made.
In November of 2019, Charlene suffered a life changing medical emergency requiring her to be life flighted to Emory St. Josephs Hospital in Atlanta to undergo open heart surgery to repair an aortic dissection and treatment for a stroke. Dr. Steven Macheers
and his highly skilled team were able to successfully repair her aorta and gave Chalene six additional years of life.
For those that knew Charlene and the physical disabilities she faced, she never gave up hope nor let the difficult circumstances bring her down mentally. Her condition began to deteriorate over the last two years, yet she always kept her faith in the Lord. This alone
has given her family and friends much comfort knowing this is not "Goodbye," but simply "See you later." She ran a hard race throughout her life and touched many people along the way.
She is survived by her mother, Shirley Ann Holloway; father, Hugh Charles (Susie) Beeler; sons, Danny (Hillary) Flynn; beloved grandchildren, Cal and Elsie Flynn; siblings, Chuck (Nichole) Beeler, Ali Beeler, and Eric Beeler; nieces and nephew, Marissa Beeler, Michael Beeler, and Mia Beeler; a host of extended family and friends; and her beloved pups, Pepper and Trixie.
A special thanks to all the healthcare providers from Macon to Atlanta, friends and family that helped her in times of need, her friends at the Butts County Senior Center and former classmates from Riverdale High School.
