FELTON, Del. — Charlene Leslie Bury, 61, a beloved wife, mother, sibling and friend, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2025.
Charlene was born Oct. 30, 1964, in Youngstown, Ohio, a daughter of Charles Achey and Margie Lanterman Achey. She was a graduate of Liberty High School and lived in the Youngstown area for most of her life before moving to Long Island, N.Y., in 2018 and then to Felton, Delaware, in 2020.
Charlene dedicated her life to her family and to a successful career in real estate. She was a dedicated realtor with Re/Max and a member of the Kent County Association of Realtors, guided by a genuine love for helping others find a place they could call home in Delaware.
She married her husband, Thomas “Tom” Bury, on Aug. 4, 1990, and her profound love for her family was evident in every aspect of her life. She was a proud mother to her three sons: Brandon Bury and his fiancée, Corrine; Trent Bury and his wife, Jill; and Cole Bury and his wife, Hanna. She also leaves four cherished grandchildren.
Charlene’s artistic gifts brought joy to her home and to those around her. She had a natural eye for decoration and was especially known for the way she transformed her home for the holidays. She found peace in painting and in tending to her garden, capturing beauty wherever she found it.
While living in Austintown, Charlene was an active member of St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, where she also sang in the choir.
In addition to her husband, children and grandchildren, Charlene is survived by her father, Charles Achey; and her siblings, Chuckie Achey, Cindy Achey, Cheryl Achey (Al Katz), and Clayton (Kim) Achey.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Margie Achey; and by her sister, Colleen.
She will be profoundly missed but forever remembered by her family, friends and all whose lives she touched.
Family and friends may gather to pay respects from 11 a.m. to noon Monday, Nov. 24, 2025, at St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Rd., where a memorial service will be held at noon.
Interment will take place at Four Mile Run Cemetery in Austintown.
