Charlene A. Day

Charlene A. Day, 80, of Trafford, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2025, in her home. Charlene was born on Dec. 1, 1944, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late Charles and Edith (Walton) Youngman. Charlene was a prolific artist and educator. She was a member of the American Society of Botanical Artists. She also was a lifelong gardener. At her workplace she was the first woman to wear pants in the office. In addition to her parents, Charlene was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas John Pronio; her second husband, Charles Irwin Day; her son, Dominic Pronio; and her grandson, Timothy Racko. Charlene is survived by her children, Janine Pifer (Richard "Will" Schwartz) of Cloverdale, OR, and Pamela Pronio-Stevens (Michael Pronio-Stevens) of Mt. Vernon, NY; her grandchildren, John and Thomas Pronio, and Melinda and Felicity Racko. Family and friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2025, for a memorial visitation in JOHN M. DOBRINICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 702 7th St. (State Route 130), Trafford, 412-372-3111. A time of remembrance to reflect on Charlene's life will begin at 8 p.m., following visitation.
