Charlene Alyce Jones, 89, of Bridgman, died Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at A Place Called Home in Stevensville with family by her side.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 11 AM – 1 PM on Monday April 6, 2026 at Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, The Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman, MI 49106. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Graceland Cemetery, Bridgman. Memorial contributions may be given to Paws of Hope PO Box 13 Stevensville, MI 49127 or Bridgman Public Library 4460 Lake Street, Bridgman, MI 49106. Online condolences accepted at www.PikeFH.com.
Charlene was born on August 22, 1936 the daughter of the late Glenn and Josephine (Menser) Smith. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1954. On April 28, 1956 she married Gerald Jones. Gerald preceded Charlene in death on September 27, 2018. Charlene worked for Benton Harbor Abstract and Title Company. She then worked for Bridgman Public Schools Food Service, as a cook, for nearly twenty years, retiring in 1993. Charlene fully loved her family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She loved cooking for her family. She enjoyed reading, crafts, puzzles, and all nature, especially birds. Charlene also enjoyed donating her time knitting washcloths for Paws of Hope.
Survivors include her children, David A Jones, and Debra (Kurt) Weber; grandchildren: Matt (Kaci) Jones, Erin Weber, Justin (Kaitlyn)Weber, and Jazmine Jones; great grandchildren: Kodi Jones, Ryan Jones, and Oliver Weber; and sister: Joanne Imbordino.
Arrangements are entrusted to Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, The Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy, Bridgman.
