Charlene was born on April 9, 1937, to William Otto and Sadie (Valentine) Gossett. She passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024, at the age of 87 years and five months. Charlene married William McDonald on June 3, 1955, and they were married for 60 years. William passed away on September 22, 2015. Charlene was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Sadie Gossett, three brothers, Raphel Otto Bud Gossett, Lavan Ike Gossett and Lester Wayne Gossett; one sister, Thelma Louise Gossett McCluskey and her in-laws, Clyde (Eloie) McDonald and Ralph (Marilyn) McDonald. Survivors of Charlene include Perry (Brenda) McDonald and Shane McDonald of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Valerie (Ken) Long and Andrew Long of Arnold, Missouri, Brenda (Gary) Smith of Lavaca, Arkansas and her dear friends, Barry Colvin and Eve Swinney both of Mountain Home, Arkansas. A visitation will be held at Conner Family Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas on Friday, September 13, 2024, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Irby Funeral Home in Rector, Arkansas on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. Burial will immediately follow at Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector, Arkansas.
