Charlene Barrett Miller, 93, passed away peacefully at home on December 25, 2024.
Born October 2, 1931 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Asael Eugene Barrett and Lavern Roxena Waterlyn. Raised in Provo, Utah.
Married Alfred Eugene Simpson, later divorced.
Married Harry H. Miller on April 23, 1969. Solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple in 1972.
Graduated from Provo High School in 1952.
Retired from the Intermountain Clinic in 1980. Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she served as Primary teacher, Young Women's President, Young Women's Councilor, Relief Society President, Family History Consultant, and visiting teacher.
Charlene loved to do genealogical research for her family and complete their Temple work. She loved to square dance and was a member of the Pioneer Dance Club for many years.
Preceded in death by her husband Harry, her parents, one sister, two brothers, and three step sons.
Survived by daughters Pamela Simpson Atkinson, Kelly (Vance) Price, Carol L (Kurt) Brunner, son Rick E Miller, Stepson Mic (Connie Jo) Miller, Brother Boyd K (Joan) Barrett, sister Lila Ellertson, 16 grandchildren, and 26 great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank CNS Home Health and Hospice for their dedicated care over the last many months. Her caregivers Makenzie, Jamie, Lora, and Mike spent endless hours caring for mother's physically, emotional, and spiritual needs. To which we will be ever thankful.
Services will be held at the Hale Street Chapel: 428 S Hale Street, Grantsville, Utah 84029 on Thursdays January 2nd, 2025. Viewing from 9:00 to 10:45, funeral service 11:00 – 12:00, luncheon to follow. Interment at Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 17111 S Camp Williams Rd., Bluffdale, UT 84065
