Charlene Sneed, 76, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at the Moberly Regional Medical Center. She was Born on January 22, 1950, in Crane, Missouri, to Charlie B. Coin and Dorothy J. Thelander. Charlene was a woman who touched the lives of many with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering spirit.
Charlene attended Grandview Senior High School in and received her GED in 1969. She went on to have a fulfilling career in a local cabinet shop, where she held multiple roles including cashier and secretary. Later in life, Charlene retired due to a disability, which did not diminish her vibrant love for life and her family.
On November 17, 2011, Charlene married Thomas Sneed in Callao, Missouri. Together, they shared a deep bond, and their partnership was a source of love and support in her life. Charlene was also a member of the Mount Airy Church, where her faith played an integral role in her life.
Charlene was known for her love of the holidays, a time she anticipated each year. She cherished moments spent with her family, creating lasting memories that will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who loved her. Charlene loved sewing, and found great joy in activities such as taking walks, watching television, listening to music, and spending time outdoors. She was also a devoted pet owner, enjoying the companionship of her beloved dogs, Sadie and Maggie.
She is survived by her husband, Tom Sneed of Madison, MO; Children, Paula (Danny) Washam of Madison, MO, Karen (Marty) Ross of Lake Lotawana, MO; step children, Tommy Sneed of Macon, MO, and Kelly Kanatzar of Wright, WY. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Megan (Karter) Mills of Manvel, TX, Zac (Joslynn) Ross of Castle Rock, CO, Savannah Adams of Moberly, MO, Kayla ( Matthew) Rich of Madison, MO, and Ryan ( Bryanna) Washam of Madison, MO; Great grandchildren, Gabriel, Luke, Hayleigh, Taya, Christopher, Brycen, Morgan, Keagon, Addyson, Braylynn, Emily, Hunter, Maisie and William, as well as siblings; Janice, Mary Koewen and Jimmy Coin.
Charlene was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Judy Kern and her beloved dog Gabie as well as her grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins.
Charlene's visitation will be held on February 3, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Pathway Millard Family Funeral Chapel located at 411 Union Ave, Moberly, MO 65270. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM the same day, during which family and friends will gather to honor and remember the remarkable woman that Charlene was.
Charlene left this world to be with the Lord, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and fond memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her. She will be missed deeply, but her spirit will continue to inspire all who were touched by her life.
