Lorie Mae Williams, 59, died peacefully at home on March 9, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. Lorie was born on November 18, 1966, to Joyce Ann Hayes and Milton Earl Williams Jr. in Moberly, Missouri, where she spent most of her life. She attended Moberly High School and graduated with the class of 1985.
Lorie dedicated 40 years to health care, earning respect for her leadership, teamwork, and compassion. She deserves to have her long years of motherhood honored. She balanced professional duties with family, demonstrating integrity and kindness that left a lasting impact on those around her.
Until the end, Lorie remained kind, gracious, compassionate, appreciative of beauty, devoted to family and friends, and grateful for her long partnership with Hurlee McHenry Jr. and their 37 years shared experiences.
She is survived by Hurlee McHenry Jr. (Kansas City, MO); her children: Jasman Williams (St. Louis, MO), Hurlee McHenry III (Kansas City, MO), Michael McHenry (Kansas City, MO), Quatonya Collins (Washington DC), and Calvin McHenry (Tennessee). Lorie leaves behind thirteen grandchildren. Her surviving siblings include James and Tonya Hayes (Jefferson City, MO); Teresa and Tony Crews (Columbia, MO); Ronald Brown Jr.; Tisha Brown-Hayes (Jefferson City, MO); and Vanessa Brown. She will be remembered fondly by her family, extended relatives, and friends, all of whom will deeply miss her presence and the love she shared.
Lorie was predeceased by her parents, Joyce Ann Hayes and Milton Earl Williams Jr.
We find comfort in knowing that Lorie’s legacy lives on through the lessons she taught, the love she shared, and the memories we will cherish forever.
