Charlene Wright Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Crawford / Ray Funeral Home on Mar. 26, 2026.
Charlene Wright, aged 68, of Canton, North Carolina, passed away on March 24, 2026.

She was born on September 29, 1957, in Haywood County to Katherine and Carroll Henderson. She grew up alongside her twin sister Aileen, her brother Larry, and her sisters Patty, Sheila, Aretha, and Karen.

Charlene was best known for her humor, always brightening up any room that she was in. She enjoyed baking and crafts, but she found the most joy in spending time with her grandchildren and her family.

She is survived by her husband, Johnny Wright; her daughter Donna Reece (Scott); her grandchildren, Amber Reece (Blake) and Eric Reece; her sisters, Aileen Mills, Aretha Duzal, and Sheila Day; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will have a visitation from 2:00 to 4:00PM on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Crawford / Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at Beulah Baptist Church in Canton, NC. Pastor Barry Clark will be officiating. Burial will be in North Canton Community Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation at https://www.komen.org/how-to-help/donate/.
