Charles Adams

Charles Adams, 85, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Wabash General Hospital, with the love of his family by his side. He was born at home on February 8, 1941, in Mount Carmel, the son of Alfred and Mildred (Hall) Adams. He married Barbara Hedge on August 22, 1958, in Shawneetown, IL and they were blessed with sixty-seven years of a loving marriage.

Charles was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family deeply. He was a hard worker and took great pride in his work in the oilfields, retiring as a tool pusher. Charles enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing and spending time at Adams Fish Shack by the river visiting with others. He also enjoyed woodworking and took pride in making things with his hands. He was a member of Heartland Worship Center. Charles will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He will be remembered by his beloved wife, Barbara Adams; children, Gaila Pinnick, Tom Adams and wife, Tanya, Charles Adams and wife, Jenny, John Adams and wife, Denise; grandchildren, Brandie (Julie) Hensley, Magon (Jared) Karns, James (Lori) Pinnick, Sean (Sarah) Nettleton, Heather (Alex) Rawls, Charley (Thessa) Adams, Kaeli (Clay Curtright) Adams, John (Jennifer) Adams, and Cori (Brandon) Stringfellow; many loved great and great-great grandchildren; sister, Janet (Rick) Oliver; many loved nieces, nephews and cousins.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents; twin great grandchildren, Colt and Case Witsman; sisters, Lois Holcomb, and Brenda Hargrave; brothers, Roy Adams, Gene Adams and Richard Adams.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a Visitation from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 18, 2026, in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 18, 2026, in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Hodgson officiating. Burial will follow at Allendale Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in Charles' memory to Heartland Worship Center. Envelopes will be at the funeral home or can be mailed to Keepes Funeral Home, 1500 North Cherry Street, Mount Carmel, IL 62863.
