After being diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer in 2017, Charlie’s strong mind, spirit and faith beat the cancer. However, he fought for 8 years of debilitating side effects from his treatments.

Charles graduated from Central High School and went on to earn his degree in analytical chemistry at UMD in 1968.
He began his lifelong career at Reserve Mining Company in 1966 in the research and development department. After 37 years of dedicated service to the company he retired as Manager of Silver Bay Operations with North Shore Mining.
Charlie had many passions in life including bowling, golfing, walleye fishing and camping. For many years he would head to the woods to camp and fish with his family and friends.
Charles joined his parents and wife, Carole in heaven. He is survived by his daughters, Cheryl Bowen, Cathleen (Todd) Jasperson, and Colleen (Greg) Neff; along with 6 grandchildren, Crystal, Shane, Brittany, Chase, Madelyn and Emily; three great grandchildren, Charlie, Kaylie and Conner.
