Charles Andersen Obituary
Chuck was born November 3, 1946, the son of Donald and Theresa Andersen. Chuck attended public schools in Sioux City and graduated from East High in 1964. He graduated from Wayne State College in Wayne, Nebraska with a business degree. Chuck served in the United States Marine Corps from 1965-1969, with 3 tours in Vietnam.
Chuck married Jolaine K. Eggerud on December 18, 1971 in Jasper, MN. To this union 3 sons were born: Christopher, Robert and Richard.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Jolaine; sons, Christopher (L eah) of Jefferson, SD., Robert of Sioux City and Richard (Megan) of Dakota Dunes, SD.; grandchildren, Kylie (Jordan), Baylie (Thomas), Gavin, Presley, Avery and Charlie; two great grandsons, Camden and Dawson; brother, Ron (Patti) of Sioux City and brother-in-law, Jay Eggerud of Jasper, MN. and Mindy Andersen of Sioux City along with several nieces and nephews.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Theresa; his mother and father in-law, Oliver and Joyce Eggerud; brother, Keith and two brother-in-laws, Bob and Bruce.
Chuck wants to be remembered as a good husband, father, grandfather and a Marine that did his job.

Jolaine and family,
I am so sorry for your loss! Chuck definitely touched so many lives. I have fond memories of our families' summer get-togethers, so while it has been some time since then, my own life is forever better.
May God's peace envelop you and fill the voids as you grieve the loss of your husband and father!

I will always remember the boy down the street (S Cornelia). He was fun, friendly, and a real leader in whatever we did. I will miss him even when he was are custodian at East. The best always return.
