Charles W Baker Jr.

Charles W. Baker Jr., 62, of Avon Lake, Ohio, passed away peacefully in his home in Florida on February 25, 2026, after a year-long battle with leukemia. He was born June 20, 1963, in Cleveland, Ohio. He is survived by his wife Lynne, children Charles Baker III (Regina), Chad Baker (Amanda), Michelle Jones (Adam), Matthew Mudry (Jessica), stepdaughters Tiffany Gainer and Jessica Stemple (Patrick), siblings Fran Moravcik (Gary), Kevin Baker (Mary Kay), and Cheryl Lubertazza (Carney), and many beloved grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Charles Baker Sr., mother Edna Baker, and his grandparents. Charlie always sought to help others and had a strong sense of community - - he was a volunteer firefighter for 15 years for Seven Hills, volunteered at the fish fries for St. Joseph Parish, and was involved with the VFW. Charlie was dependable and hardworking, always willing to lend a hand. Quick-witted and funny, he made friends no matter where he went or what he was doing. Despite his volunteerism and busy schedule, Charlie always had time for family and friends, always ready to fix something, dole out advice, or play a board game. He watched the Cleveland Browns games, but was an avid fan of the Cleveland Cavaliers. Charlie loved to host, from annual clambakes to poker games to impromptu get-togethers. He will be greatly and forever missed by all that knew and loved him.
