Charles E. "Charlie" Balfourd

Balfourd, Charles E. "Charlie" age 97 of Tipp City, Ohio passed away Sunday, September 28, 2025. He was born March 24, 1928 in Cleveland, Ohio to Edmund C. and Florence C. {Cook} Balfourd. Charlie is preceded in death by his parents, wife Elizabeth {Dimpert} Balfourd and brother Jack (Betty) Balfourd. He is survived by his brother Melvin "Mel" (Lillian) Balfourd and niece and nephew, Beth Ann Duffin and Keith Balfourd.

Charlie proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. A devoted sports fan, he especially enjoyed cheering on the Cleveland Browns and the Washington Commanders. He loved to travel with his wife and treasured vacations spent with family. Though a private and humble man, Charlie was known for his warm smile and kind spirit. In his later years, he truly came out of his shell after moving to Randall Residence in Tipp City, where he formed meaningful connections. Above all, Charlie deeply loved his brother, children, and dogs.

A visitation will be held at Noon until time of service at 1:00 PM on Friday, October 3, 2025 at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371. Pastor Harry Stuart officiating. Burial to follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City.
