Charles Barnow Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Baker, Kensinger Funeral Home - Berea on Sep. 16, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

Charles A. Barnow was born on November 4th, 1936 and died peacefully, surrounded by family, on September 13th, 2025. He was known for his brilliant mind, love of cars, dedication to family, and mischievous antics.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years Connie Barnow, daughter Christine Bradt (David), grandchildren Blyth (Dei), Drew, Izzy, Ethan, Haven, and Claudia, and great grandchild Selah. He was preceded in death by his Mother Sally, Father Albert, and Brother Tom.

Chuck is the founder of Berea Automotive Engineering where he worked on Rolls Royces, Bentleys, and Packards from around the world. He had a one of a kind mind that allowed him to engineer unique alterations to luxury cars. The cars in his shop were fancy but Chuck was no nonsense, courting high end clients at the local greasy spoon.

His most prized project was the 1933 Packard that he built as a gift for his wife Connie. It may have taken him 27 years, but it is an award winning beauty and well worth the wait.

The family will be receiving visitors on Saturday, September 20th from 12pm to 2pm, followed by a short service at 2pm. The visitors and service will be held at Baker, Kensinger Funeral Home, 206 Front Street, Berea, OH 44017
