Charles Alvin "Chuck" Barror, age 64, passed on Monday, April 29, 2024, from natural causes at his home in Lake Ojibwa.
Chuck was born April 16, 1960, in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Gerald and Dorothy (Fortier) Barror. He was one of 13 children. Chuck graduated from Chesaning High School in 1977. After high school he graduated from the US Army Training Center in Fort Leonard Wood Missouri in June 1977 and served in the army for 2 years.
Chuck married the late Laurie (Ashmead) Barror in June 1, 1990 and helped raise Laurie's four children, Christie, Kevin, Elizabeth, and Josiah as his own.
He was a mechanic and worked as a crossroad truck driver for many years and went by the handle "Animal Cab". Exploring most of the country while out on the road. Chuck continued his passion of helping people within his community in Ojibwa Lake serving on their board. Chuck was known for being a jack of all trades and always finding a good deal and turning it into an even better one. Chuck enjoyed racing, mud bogs, motorcycles, gardening, bird watching, but most of all, spending time with his family and friends.
Chuck loved to make people laugh or making their faces turn red, always picking on someone with a big smile on his face. He was a loving and caring person, proud father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and devoted friend. Always thinking of others first.
Chuck leaves to cherish his loving memory his children, Christie (Quint) Beightel, Kevin Keyes, Elizabeth (Keith) Blackwood, Josiah (Sara) Keyes; 13 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters Kathy, Holly, Janice, and Judy, along with his good friend Randy Arvidson as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He is predeceased by his Wife; Parents; siblings, Gerald, Barbara, Cheryle, David, Janet, and 3 infant brothers.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM-2:00 PM on Sunday, May 5, 2024, at McGeehan Funeral Homes, 316 West Broad Street, Chesaning, Michigan 48616. A time of remembrance will continue from 3:00 till dusk at Ojibwa Lake, association building, 7728 Windoga LK Dr. Weidman, MI 48893. Please bring a passing dish.
If desired, friends may make memorial contributions to the families wishes.
