Charles Beatty Obituary
Charles is survived by his wife of 65 years Janet, sons John Beatty, James (Victoria) Beatty and grandchildren Daniel and Sophia.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother David Beatty, and sisters Mattie Silvas and Patricia Evans.
Charles was a graduate of Muskegon High School. He then went on to graduate from Michigan Technological University with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. Charles completed his education at Northwestern University with a Master's Degree. Charles finished his working career as an executive with Canonie Construction Company here in South Haven.
Charles was an active South Haven resident for 50 years. He was a former City Council Member and former Project Manager for the Marina. When not active in the community he enjoyed collecting tools, listening to classical music and gardening.
A private family burial will take place at a later date.
