Charles Benlock Obituary
Charles L. Benlock Sr., of Stratford CT passed away peacefully in his home on December 1, 2022 at the age of 81.
Charles was born on December 2, 1940 in Bridgeport, CT.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Edith Benlock; sons, Charles Benlock, Jr. & Francis Benlock; a sister, Betty Carrafiello; and granddaughters, Alexsandra Caban & Megan Sember.
Charles worked 40+ years at Cilco Terminal in Bridgeport, CT as a Longshoreman Crane Operator. He was also an Army Veteran who traveled internationally proudly serving his country. Some of the many joys of his life included traveling the world, making people laugh with his witty-ness and sense of humor, tending to his garden providing his family and friends with a bountiful harvest, acrylic painting, capturing memories with his granddaughters, wood working, trying his luck at the casino, cooking/baking, and fishing.
Charles lived a full 81 years of life and the memories he created with his loved ones will be forever cherished.
A Celebration of Life Mass will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022 10:00 a.m. at St. James Roman Catholic Church, 2070 Main Street, Stratford, CT 06615.
