Charles Better

CHARLES BETTER, 75, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at Ocean University Medical Center, Brick Twp., NJ. He was born in Manhattan, NY, and lived in Middletown, NJ, before settling in Jackson Twp., 15 years ago.
Charles attended Aviation High School, in New York City, Bronx Community College, and Fordham University, where he received his Bachelor's degree. He worked as a project manager for Woolworth Corporation for over 30 years, before retiring in 2008.
He loved fishing, hunting, classic cars, and motorcycles.
Charles was predeceased by his parents, Joseph Better and Mary Spataro, and his sister, Mary Jo Better. He is survived by his wife, Carol Better; his son, Christopher Better and his wife, Lisa; his daughter, Cheryl Kanarkowski and her husband, Paul; his five grandchildren, Chase Kanarkowski, Cole Kanarkowski, Allison Better, Charlotte Better, and Chyler Better; and his brother, Joseph Better.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation on Sunday, February 25, 2024, from 1-4PM, with his funeral service at 4PM, at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527. A private cremation will follow.
