Mr. Charles "Chuck" Ray Blakley, a cherished father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2025, at the age of 61. Born on October 22, 1963, in LaGrange, Georgia to Billy Dean Blakley and Linda May Barber Blakley, Chuck's life was marked by an unwavering commitment to his family, his deep Christian faith, and a legacy of kindness that touched the lives of all who knew him. Chuck was the embodiment of love and selflessness, always placing the needs of others before his own. His thoughtful nature was a beacon of light, guiding his family through times of joy and sorrow with equal measures of grace and strength. He was known for his generous spirit and his ability to make everyone around him feel valued and loved. A devoted father, Chuck's pride and joy were his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his daughters, Susie Blakley and Crystal (Rikki Peoples) Cox, both of Alexander City, AL; his son, Richard Lee McCollum, also of Alexander City, AL; and his daughter, Hallie Harper. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Summer McCollum, Jirez Leonard, Faith Daniel, Hope Daniel, Easton Harper, and Laidenn Harper; and his great-grandchildren, Kyleigh Alford, Joshlynn McCollum, Keighan McCollum, and Maeve Leonard. Chuck's memory will also be cherished by his brothers, Kenneth (Donna) Camp, Donnie (Michelle) Blakley, Travis (Telecia) Blakley, and Tim (Angel) Blakley; his sister, Missie (Jim) Kennedy; and the numerous nieces and nephews whose lives he enriched with his presence. Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sherry Blakely; parents, Billy Dean and Linda May Blakley; his sons, William Ray Blakley and Daniel Ray Blakley; and his great-grandchild, Olivia Daniel, Chuck's spirit is now reunited with them in eternal peace. Throughout his life, Chuck was a pillar of his community, offering a helping hand and a listening ear to anyone in need. His unwavering faith in God was the cornerstone of his existence, guiding him through every decision and allowing him to face challenges with courage and serenity. As we bid farewell to Chuck, we celebrate a life well-lived-a life full of love, laughter, and the selfless giving of oneself to others. He leaves behind a tapestry of memories that will be cherished and woven into the fabric of his family's history for generations to come. Chuck's departure from this world leaves an indelible mark on the hearts of those who loved him. Yet, we take comfort in knowing that his love remains with us, his teachings continue to inspire us, and his spirit soars in a place free from pain and full of joy. We honor the memory of Mr. Charles "Chuck" Ray Blakley, a man who was truly a gift to us all. His life's story is a testament to the power of love, faith, and kindness. May he rest in peace, and may his legacy live on forever in the lives he has shaped and the love he has spread. Memories and condolences may be shared at www.radneyfuneralhome.com.
