Charles Houser Booth, Jr., 71 of Mountain Brook, Alabama passed away Friday evening, January 16, 2015. He was born to Charles H. Booth and Dolores Cusick Booth in Anniston, Alabama. Charles was a graduate of Birmingham Southern College and the Cumberland School of Law. He practiced law in the private and corporate sectors. Charles was a member of the Faculty at Birmingham School of Law. A distinguished member of the American Bar Association and the Alabama Bar Association, Charles was recognized as Mediator of the Year in 2011, among numerous other awards. He was a friend to many, and active in sports car clubs where he mentored many young drivers. Charles was a committed member of All Saints Episcopal Church.
Charles was preceded in death by his father, Charles H. Booth. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Adelaide Ashley Booth, daughters Margaret Ashley Booth and Ellen Booth Boyd, son in law Allen Boyd, and his mother Dolores Cusick Booth. His service will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church on Tuesday, January 20, 2015. Visitation will be held 12 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the building fund of All Saints Episcopal Church or the Greater Birmingham Humane Society.
