I went through high school with Chas. We played sports and hung around with a group of guys (jocks). We had great times together. In fact he and I decided to join the army partly due to the fact that his draft number was 13, and mine was 100. We went through basic training at Ft. Knox, and AIT in El Paso , Texas. With a year and a half left on our tour, Chas was sent to Korea, while I shipped out to Germany. I got married while in service and Chas was to be my best man however due to his deployment that didn´t happen. I asked another friend to be his substitute and Bob Shield agreed. After the service we hunted together at my folks cabin in Lewiston for a few years. He was a great friend and a pretty good hunter too! You will be missed my friend, but not forgotten!
