Charles Bradshaw Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wright Funeral Home and Crematory - Franklin on Jan. 12, 2026.
Newsoms – Charles E. "Frog" Bradshaw, 80, left his earthly body for the promised land on Saturday, January 10, 2026.

Frog was born May 13, 1945 to the late Virgie Mae and Horace Bradshaw of Burdette, VA. He is preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Martha D. Bradshaw, and his brother, James Horace Bradshaw, Jr.

Frog spent most of his career as an equipment operator for Union Camp before retiring after 35 years. After his retirement he found himself bored and returned to work part time for Crowder & White Construction for several years. He cherished all the friends /coworkers along the journey.

Frog leaves a lasting impact on the community through his 17 years of service as a volunteer firefighter with Franklin Fire & Rescue, and 24 years of coaching and playing baseball and softball for several organizations. There are many former teammates and players in the area that hold him close to their heart.

Frog also holds a legacy of fast cars, racing and cruise-ins that brought him so much joy and passion throughout his life.

Frog is survived by his loving sister, Dianne B. Fowler, his loving companion Ruth Myers of Boykins, his children Heath Bradshaw (Deborah), Michael Bradshaw (Tammy) and Trina Johnson (Ronald), along with grandchildren Heather Lim, Caleb Bradshaw, Chase Johnson, Hannah Bradshaw, Carter Johnson, Allie Holt, Kristen Holt, "Little Chase" Griffith and one great grandson Rowan Lim.

A Graveside Service will be held at 3PM Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at Southampton Memorial Park, 27396 Pretlow Rd., Franklin.

Immediately following the service, there will be a celebration of life at Manry Hunt Club. Frog's wishes can be fulfilled by having his friends and family gather there to share memories and enjoyment together. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made to Courtland Fire Dept. or Franklin Fire & Rescue.
