Charles Albert Broseker

1943 - 2025

Charles Albert Broseker, 81, of Greensboro, Maryland, passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 23, 2025, with his family beside him.

Born November 6, 1943, in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late Leonard and Anna Broseker (nee MacKenzie). Charles graduated from Southern High School in Baltimore and served his community with distinction as a member of the Baltimore City Fire Department for 34 years. He was also a proud member of Fire Fighters Local Union 734.

He married the love of his life, Eva Mills, in 1963, and they shared nearly 60 years of marriage until her passing in 2023.

A devoted Mason for more than 50 years, Charles was a former Worshipful Master of Mystic Circle Lodge No. 109.

Charles lived in Baltimore until 1988, when he and his family moved to Greensboro, Maryland. He will be remembered for his dedication to service, his deep love for family, and the example he set for those who knew him. He remembered everyone's birthdays and was always there to support his family. Later in life, he was all about his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also loved cheering on his Baltimore Orioles and Ravens.

He is survived by his daughters, Lisa Betterly (Tim) and Amy Kerins (Chris); his brother, Leonard Broseker; grandchildren Julia Young, Christian Bergstrazer, Casey Kerins, Carrie Kerins, and Marissa Kerins; and four great-granddaughters.

A celebration of life will be held Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at Lifeway Church of God, 7046 Seashore Hwy, Bridgeville, DE 19933. The service is open to the public, with refreshments to follow.

In lieu of flowers, Charles would like donations to go to Lifeway Church of God for their continued ministry to the surrounding communities.
