Charles Campbell Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 10, 2024.
We ask you to join us in celebrating the life of Charles Robert (Bob) Campbell Jr. who passed away unexpectedly on May 1, 2024 of natural causes. He passed with his heart full of love for and from his family and friends.

Bob was born in Baltimore, MD on December 30, 1970, to Linda Campbell (Dobry) and the late Charles Campbell Sr. He is survived by his true companion in life and love, Kristin Campbell (Wehner) and their two amazing children, Cole (15) and Courtney (13), mother Linda Campbell, sister Cathy Campbell, brother Chad Campbell (Vanity), and brother Craig Campbell (Allison). He was held in high esteem by aunts, uncles, in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends and co-workers...all who knew him.

Bob had a zest for life, and it all started with his family. His love and devotion to Krissy, Cole and Courtney was seen by all who knew him. Bob and Krissy are true soulmates, their paths were destined to cross and to build a beautiful family based on love, strong morals, work ethic, and enjoying every moment life had to offer. As a family they enjoyed going on adventures, goofing around, watching the most ridiculous TV shows, and playing ball. One of Bob's favorite activities was in fact baseball! His father instilled a love of the game in him from an early age, but his passion really became evident as he coached and supported both Courtney's and Cole's teams. Those two were truly his pride and joy!! Now Bob was also quite the jokester, he had a big sense of humor and always put his own spin to things!! This was evident in many ways - hilarious gifts, adding spice to life and that look in his eye that he was up to something!! And while his personal life was always his priority, he also had a very accomplished accounting career. He went all in on projects and always left the business in a better place than he found it. Bob had a big heart and he unconditionally loved his family more than anything in this world and truly cared for all of those in his life. The universe is forever off balance knowing he isn't just in the other room playing a game in his favorite chair, at practice with one of the kids, or on a call.

There will be a small family service to celebrate Bob's life. If you would like to share your thoughts and memories with the family, please send them to Krissy or leave them in the "Tributes" section below. Knowing Bob's passion in life was seeing his children succeed, both in the classroom and on the ball fields, we have started a fund to support Cole and Courtney in continuing to chase their dreams. So in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Cole and Courtney's Dream Fund (Zelle: 602-502-4445).

Bob, we will conclude with a message to you: We are devastated to see you leave all of us way too soon. You are dearly missed. We will love Krissy, Cole, and Courtney with our whole hearts and stand with them always. We will share the small and the big moments with you. We will love you always and ensure your memory is kept alive. Thank you for the deep roots of love you established and the signs you give us every day that you are with us.

My first memory of Bob was on the day of his birth. I had been having gall bladder problems and the Dr. decided to induce my baby to relieve pressure on my gall bladder. My husband, Charlie, was in York, PA, signing the papers to finalize the purchase of our first house. He made it back to the hospital just in time to greet his son. Our red-faced, bawling son was received with love and he remained loved by those who knew him throughout his life.
