Rochester: Friday, December 27, 2024 at age 71. Predeceased by his parents, Mary and Charlie Carpenter. iblings,
Charlie was employed with Eastman Kodak for over 35 years. He worked in many divisions over the years & was able to travel the world for the company. He was a graduate of Clarkson College with a master's in mechanical engineering.
Charlie was an avid sportsman on and off the field. He played hockey in many leagues in Rochester, as well as in high school & college. He loved softball and played in Kodak Leagues over the years as well as fast-pitch men's softball teams. He also enjoyed bowling, golf and basketball. He was very excited when the time came, and he could coach his two daughters in softball. He and Rosanne enjoyed antiquing, and you would often find them on weekend adventures looking for the next great treasure. Collecting model cars as well as driving his Corvette and watching Nascar Racing were also his favorite past-times. Time spent with family and friends were really what brought him joy in retirement. Relaxing on the deck reading a book, sitting by the fire pit or floating in the pool were always the first choice.
Friends may call Friday (Jan 3rd) 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM at Vay-Schleich and Meeson, 1075 Long Pond Road, where his family service will be held at 5:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to

Just learned of Charlie's passing. He was one of the nicest people I'd ever known through my years of playing softball for Kodak's travel team. He only played with us a short time but he left a lasting impression on me and I'm very saddened to hear of his passing. We remained friends via Kodak for a few years and then 'kids' and life changed and we lost touch...Bless you man. And God Bless your family. My condolences.
