REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. - Charles (Chuck) Henry Carr, age 67, of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, and formerly of Washington, D.C., passed away on Oct. 29, 2025.
Born on June 6, 1958, in Lancaster, S.C., he was the son of the late Helen Josephine Wentz and Charles Henry Carr Sr.
After graduating high school in Lancaster, he graduated from Wofford College in Spartanburg, S.C. His most recent employment was as Vice President of Conventions, Meetings, and Education at the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI), now known as the Recycled Materials Association (ReMA). He chose Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, to retire after spending many years as a part-time resident.
He is survived by his husband of 40 years, David W. Taylor of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware; his sister, Joanna C. Butler, her husband, Lee, and their son, Seth, of Fredericksburg, Virginia. Other survivors include members of the Wentz and Carr families, the extended Taylor family, and numerous friends.
Memorial gifts may be sent to the Capitol Hill United Methodist Church, Washington, D.C., Food and Fellowship Ministry; Wofford College Office of Philanthropy ([email protected]); or to the Clear Space Theatre Company Office of Development in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.
