Charles Isaac Chambers

Funeral services for Charles Isaac "Ike" Chambers will be held at 4:00 PM, Thursday, July 20, 2023, from the sanctuary of Outreach Baptist Church, Columbia, LA with Bro. Buster Duplissey officiating. Burial will follow at Rosefield Cemetery, Rosefield, LA. The family will have a visitation prior to the service on Thursday from noon until 4 at the church.

Charles Isaac Chambers was born September 20, 1952, in Denham Springs, LA to the union of his parents, Samuel Charles Chambers and Norma Cassels Chambers Roberts, and he passed from this life on July 18, 2023, at his home in Columbia, LA. Ike worked in the logging woods at a saw hand for many years. He loved the outdoors and when he wasn't working he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed working with wood and did beautiful carpentry work. Ike loved his family more than anything and was a wonderful husband and father. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and a brother.

Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Barbara Rhodes Chambers; his sons, Sammy Chambers (Amanda) and Kenneth Chambers; his daughters, Berdie Poole and Christina Bolton; seventeen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, as well as, numerous nieces and nephews with one special niece, Alisha Ainsworth.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jaylan Chambers, Kylan Chambers, Kullean Chambers, Bill Smith, Dennis Nugent, and Jimmy Fletcher. Honorary pallbearers are Danny Nugent, Sammy Chambers, William Poole, and Christopher Poole.
