Charles "Chuck" M. Depo Jr., 79, of West Chazy, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2025 at the UVM Medical Center in Burlington, VT. He was born on August 4th, 1946, the son of Charles Depo and Leona (McLean) Depo.
In 1979 Chuck was president of the men's medium pitch softball league, along with others, they raised 20,000.00 to light the softball field in Keesville.
Chuck was the commander of the sons of the American Legion Post 20. Later became 3rd and 4th Detachment Vice Commander of N.Y.
In 2014 and 2015 Chuck became Detachment Commander of N.Y. and he and Nancy visited 63 Counties making many memories and meeting wonderful Legion people.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years Nancy Depo; his children, Tammy and James Montefusco of Keesville, Julie and Aaron Stanley of Plattsburgh, Jennifer Depo of Chazy; stepson, Mark Lacy; grandchildren, James and Jacob Montefusco, Tanner Stanley, Lauren Roanley, Brianna and Charlie Lacy; great grandchildren, Lucas Charles Montefusco, Emelia Marie Roanley; siblings, Cindy Douglas of Clintonville, Linda Douglas of Clintonville and Gloria Burdeau of Keesville.
He is predeceased by his parents; his sisters, Shirley Thomas, Carole Vassar.
Visitation will be held on September 17, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, with a reception following at VFW Post 125 on Boyton Avenue, Plattsburgh.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made out to St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital
