It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Charles Rathert, who departed his life peacefully on September 17, 2025, after a long struggle with dementia. He was born on June 25th in 1947 in Wolf Point, Montana to Francis and Charles Rathert. He was the youngest of four siblings, Donna, Fred and Bill.
He was a devoted father to his 3 children, Tiffany, Tarah, and Bron. He was also a proud grandfather to 6 grandkids, Jordan, Sawyer, Sayer, Creed, Ryder, and Ryland. Chuck’s final time was spent back in his hometown at Faith Lutheran Home, where he was able to spend time pestering his older brothers Fred and Bill Rathert, before their passing in September 2022 and December 2024. Chuck was also blessed to have his nieces and nephew checking in on him prior to his death.
Dad was always a hardworking man, beginning his career here in Wolf Point at the family dealership, formally known as Rathert Ford. Chuck then moved his family to Minnesota and finally Texas, where he continued to work in the automotive industry. He was a stout Republican and had a great sense of humor. His journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and an unwavering faith in God.
A family gathering will be held at a later date to celebrate Chuck’s life. He will be laid to rest next to family at Greenwood Cemetery in Wolf Point, Montana.
