Charles Clark Obituary
An avid fisherman and gifted craftsman, he was known for his love of the outdoors and for the beautiful, lasting work of his hands. His legacy of hard work, gentleness, kindness, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Olin retired from Delta Airlines.
Olin was born March 5, 1937 and shared a beautiful life with his beloved wife of 69 years, Beverly Meers Clark. Together, they built a family rooted in love, faith, and the simple joys of time together. He is also survived by his children: Chuck Clark (Pam) and Cindy Byrd (Barry). Olin was a proud grandfather to: Jessica Tiller (Cory), Brooke Barnes (Andrew), Justin Clark (Kaela), David Byrd (Katie), Kristin Van Asch (Joel).
His joy multiplied even further with his great-grandchildren: Mason Tiller and Charlsie Tiller; Jacob Barnes, Brennan Barnes, and Drew Barnes; Dansby Byrd and Georgia Byrd; Brooklyn Van Asch and Beckett Van Asch; and Caden Clark.
He shared his passions freely, and many of his family members will continue to inherit and enjoy the traditions he passed down – especially time spent at the beach or fishing and the handcrafted treasures from his workshop. These good times and cherished pieces, and the memories made around them, will continue to testify to his love and skill for generations.
We will celebrate Olin's life on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at the First Baptist Church of Buford (4550 Hamilton Mill Rd, Buford, GA 30518). A visitation for family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with a Celebration of Life directly following at 2:00 p.m.
